Oz The Great and Powerful Synopsis
In 1905 Kansas, Academy Award Diggs works as a unimportant magician in an exceedingly traveling circus. As a storm approaches, the circus strongman learns Academy Award has flirted along with his woman and goes to attack him. Academy Award escapes in an exceedingly hot air balloon, however is sucked into a tornado that takes him to the Land of Oz. There the witch Theodora believes him to be a wizard prophesied to overthrow the Wicked Witch who killed the king of Oz. on the way to the Emerald town, Academy Award flirts with Theodora, who falls loving with him. They encounter the flying monkey Finley, who pledges a life debt to Academy Award once he saves Finley from a lion.
Upon reaching the Emerald town, Academy Award meets Evanora, Theadora's sister, who is skeptical of Academy Award being the predicted wizard. Evanora tells Academy Award that the Wicked Witch resides within the Dark Forest and may be killed by destroying her wand, the supply of her power. Academy Award and Finley square measure joined on the way to the forest by China woman, a young, living china doll whose home and family were destroyed by the Wicked Witch. The 3 reach the forest and, upon retrieving the wand, discover the "Wicked Witch" to be Glinda the nice Witch, who tells them Evanora is that the true Wicked Witch. Evanora sees this together with her orb and manipulates Theodora against Academy Award by showing him in conjunction with Glinda, spoken communication he's making an attempt to court all 3 witches. She offers the sorrowful Theodora a magic apple she guarantees can take away her grief. Theodora bites it and transforms into a heartless, green-skinned Wicked Witch.
